The saying goes that God never gives us more than we can handle, but some days it feels like He has too much faith in us! We can only grow through change, so sometimes opportunities for change are disguised as challenges and adversities. Some of the most successful people suffered through difficult times and failed repeatedly, but kept picking themselves up and trying again. I found this great list at OnlineCollege.org :

There stories may at the very least demonstrate that we are not alone in facing life’s challenges and maybe even inspire us to turn our disasters into a springboard for success.
While reading through an old journal entry last night, I saw a note I had written that said, “Live with Expectancy, not with Expectation”. After that, I wrote that we need to live life with expectancy, knowing that good things are coming our way, but not with the expectation that they are going to come from the direction that we determine. I’m not sure where the advice came from, certainly from a mind more brilliant than my own, but I think it is valuable. I do believe that God loves us and wants us to be happy, but sometimes we need to trust Him and get out of the way. Often by letting go and trying to be open to different possibilities, we will find that by doing so, the things we so desperately want will manifest themselves in our lives.
