The least movement is of importance to all nature. The entire ocean is affected by a pebble. ~ Blaise Pascal
This quote is a bit deeper than my lively lighthearted post, but I think that whether in work or in play, movement is important. We need movement to keep us from becoming too caught up in the same old hum-drum routine. Movement gives life meaning!
When I saw this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge was “On The Move”, the first thing I thought of was the fastest moving ride I have been on. My fiancé and I had a blast riding the Rock-n-Roller Coaster at Disney Hollywood Studios this spring! This roller coaster features a high-speed launch of 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds!! How lucky we were to get front row seats! Obviously I cannot take credit for this photo, as it was one of the ones snapped by the camera on the ride. I purchased it as part of the Disney Memory Maker option, which I do highly recommend (not a paid endorsement, just something I found quite valuable). It’s so nice to be able to have both of us in a photo without having to find a kindly passerby to help us out! We were able to get all the “ride” photos as part of the package as well! Here’s another “on the go” photo…..that of the “vertical drop” kind from the Tower of Terror, also at Disney Hollywood Studios!
Here are two of my own photos showing thousands of little yellow ducks on the move down Rapid Creek during the annual Black Hills Duck Race. It is so much fun watching the “duck drop” and then walking along with the ducks as they make their way to the finish line. The best part of it is that it is a great fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network at the Rapid City Regional Hospital!
