I’m a mom of 3 awesome kids, two sons and a daughter. I divorced in 2009 and then thought I was with “my forever person”, remarried in 2014 and found out that wasn’t to be either. Despite life not working out as planned, I still try to look for the positive in the people and situations I come in contact with!
With the help of Match.com, I met a wonderful person and almost nine months in (on 5/14/22), it’s all good. It’s hard for me to look too far into the future anymore, but I am definitely smitten and hoping for the best. ❤
I believe in the power of positive thinking and I believe that even challenging circumstances can be learning experiences if we have a positive mindset!
One thing I’m proud of is my sponsorship of Ernest in Albania through World Vision! Here’s a link to their site if you’d like to make a difference in the world too! 🙂 www.worldvision.org/sponsor-a-child
Things I love, aside from my kids include:
- Entering Sweepstakes and Contests (hey, SOMEONE has to win, might as well be me!) Check out my page for a couple awesome sweepstakes websites!
- Feeding and watching the birds and squirrels in my yard
- Spooky stories and places. My bucket list includes being contacted by a ghost (Friendly, like Casper, of course!!)
- Finding any stories, photos, quotes, posts, blogs, articles that give me advice on how to focus on the positive!
- Giving advice (mostly solicited, occasionally not….can’t help myself sometimes!)
- Traveling when I’m able (and taking pictures of the places I’m lucky enough to travel to!!)
- Seeing Movies in the theatre (and movie popcorn!!)
Thanks so much Beth for visiting my blog and liking the post on Sandalwood. Being positive has got to be what has gotten me through some very rough times in life and it’s always a pleasure to meet like-hearted individuals. Carry on!
Thank you, Maxine, for the sweet comment and for visiting! The thing I love most about blogging is getting to meet wonderful people like yourself! Sometimes it takes a lot to find the good in difficult times and situations, for sure, but it’s worth digging to find that small piece of positiveness! 🙂 Have an awesome day!
Amen to that!
I love your about page. I’ve only recently left my husband of 16 years. Actually only 5 weeks ago!
It’s all very new to me. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hugs Paula xx
Wow! It’s definitely a change going back to the single life after being married for so long. I was married for 19 years and as with everything, there was good and bad, and some things I still miss after 4 years being divorced. He has moved on and is happily remarried and perhaps someday I will be too, but for now I’m enjoying what each day brings and making my own decisions and setting my own goals. There will be difficult days, Paula, but you will get through them and will be a stronger person because of it. Thanks for visiting and the very best to you!! Hugs back to you too! xx Beth
Thanks Beth and for the advice.
Much appreciated. Hugs xxx
Thanks for stopping by my blog, Beth. It’s hard to resist popcorn at the theater once the aroma reaches out and pulls me in!
Thank you for visiting mine too, Patti! I love the sunflower photo at the top of your page and the title of your blog as well!
I totally agree about movie popcorn, although I think sometimes I’ve just conditioned myself (with help from the theatre) that a darkened theatre must be accompanied by popcorn and a diet Coke! Ah well, life with no vices would be boring 😉
Thanks for “liking” my painting. I prefer to think happy positive thoughts too. There’s so much negative in the world, we “think positive” people need to stick together!
You are so very welcome, Pamela! Your painting made me smile. I loved the blend of colors, the crow and the pumpkins! I totally agree that the world needs a lot more positive and I’m thankful for people like you! 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting and for the wonderful comment!
From one Beth to another.. (there’s something about that name that makes a person automatically awesome)
Lovely to find your blog, your humour is the kind I can appreciate! I’ve been a single mother longer than I’ve been in any relationship, but like you, I’m now in a very positive and loving relationship, counting my lucky stars! I have two gorgeous boys aged 13 and 4. I look forward to checking out your blogginess every now and then 🙂
Awesome to meet you, Beth! I don’t know about you, but I don’t meet too many other Beths. That’s a good thing, right? It makes us more unique! 🙂 You have a bit of a gap in kiddos like I do, I see. My oldest is almost 21 and my youngest is 11 with an 18 year old in the middle! Glad to hear you’ve got a good relationship going now as well! We know we can get by on our own, but it sure does make life more fun to have someone to share things with! Thanks so much for commenting & I’ll be watching for new posts from you!
I don’t meet many either but there is another one at the local Community House where I volunteer, so we are B1 and B2! I know too well about being able to go it alone, but I have to agree with you that it’s far better with the right person to share it all with!
Thanks for visiting too 🙂 take care xo
Congradulations! I have just nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Here is a link to my post for you to accept the award: http://thebelmontrooster.wordpress.com/2013/11/25/my-very-inspiring-blogger-award/.
Thank you so very much! I know I’ve been slacking as of late, but I will try to be worthy of the award! I’ll see if I can figure out how to place the award on my site and will find blogs to nominate. There are so many good ones, it won’t be a difficult task, I’m sure 🙂
Thanks a lot, Beth, for stopping by my blog 🙂
You have a beautiful blog here.

You said it perfectly, it’s a great community, where the members share some common interests.
It had to be hard to divorce and find that new love of your life, but when you meet the RIGHT MR RIGHT see there he is! Thank you for coming to my blog today.
Thank you for visiting my blog too!! 🙂 The divorce was definitely challenging for me and for the kids. I know there were many nights when I despaired that I would be alone but am happy now to be planning a (very small) wedding sometime in the very near future!! ❤

HI Beth.. Than you so much for your visit to my blog. Truly appreciate it. I loved your blog to read more from you and to follow you on your spooky travels 🙂
Hi Aanchal! Thanks for the return visit!! I love finding other fans of all things spooky!! Many of my family members roll their eyes at me and my fascination 😜. Thanks so much for the nice comment! 😃
I bet they must roll their eyes, I did that too. Infact when we all friends or cousins get togther we tend to share ghost stories(many of them are made up that time) but I like it that much, can never think myself going to visit a haunted place :):)
Cheers to your awesomeness.
I am a mum of two grown up sons and I am happily married since …. very long! I like your positive attitude and I love your blog. Thanks for visiting mine!
I love to hear the happily married for very long part!! Now that I’ve found the “right one”, I hope we get to have a “very long” together too! ❤ My boys are just about to the "grown up" phase, so I enjoy whatever time they're willing to give me and I'm cherishing the time I have with my daughter now before she's "too cool" for mom! 😉 Thank you so much for visiting!
We are big believers in positive thinking too! Love your attitude to life 🙂 And congrats on the recent wedding!!!
Thank you so much! 🙂 I love finding other like minded people! 🙂 Thanks for visiting and for the very nice comment!
