The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.  – Jacques Yves Cousteau

When was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing – just sitting and looking at the sea, or watching the wind blowing the tree limbs, or waves rippling on a pond, a flickering candle or children playing in the park?                            – Ralph Marston

In this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge, we are asked to: share a photo which means SEA to you!   I couldn’t limit it to just one photo, so I’m sharing some of my favorite photos of the sea/ocean.  I hope you like enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them! 🙂

All around the world, your seas are beautiful!

    • Beth says:

Thank you, MixerUpper! 🙂 Here in South Dakota I don’t get to experience the sea, so I make the most of the opportunities I have when travelling! Thanks for the nice comment! Have a wonderful weekend.

You must have seas of crop fields, also pretty! 🙂

        • Beth says:

Actually, not many crop fields here, more so in the central and easter sides of the state, but I live in the beautiful Black Hills (near Mount Rushmore), so have some gorgeous scenery too, but I still love to see the ocean any chance I get!! 🙂

          • MixerUpper says:

Oh, interesting. I’ve been to the Black Hills, and they are indeed beautiful! I imagine you’ve got some lovely pictures from there as well. 🙂

    • Beth says:

You are very welcome, Gaurab! 🙂 I’ve enjoyed your photos as well! I love being able to see places I’ve never been.

      • Gaurab says:

Same here. I’m really fond of new places but I also like the way people perceive those places hence sometimes even the same place have multiple interpretation. 🙂

  11. I loved the pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that first shot of the Oregan coastline is stunning. Nice work! The sea looks incredible. Thanks for stopping by my blog, it’s much appreciated!

    • Beth says:

Thanks, Ben!! I am definitely an amateur with the photography, but I do love to capture beautiful places. I think with the Oregon coastline, it’s all so beautiful that getting a great shot isn’t terribly difficult 😉 I love the photography on your blog! You definitely have a great eye and a wonderful way of framing shots. I loved the one with the reflection in the window. Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for the nice comment.

      • Ben says:

I love places like that, where you can just point and shoot and the pictures that come out are fantastic. Thanks for the kind words. I’m certainly getting better, but still have much to improve I think!

Used to live in Oregon, but didn’t have a camera at the time. Love your picture of the Oregon coastline! 🙂

    • Beth says:

Thank you, Terry! I love Oregon! You are fortunate to have been able to live there. I’ve only been lucky enough to visit, but it has so many beautiful places and people! Thanks so much for stopping by and for the nice comment! 🙂

What do you think? Thanks for visiting! Have a positive, productive day!
