“Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.” ~ Henry Ward Beecher
When I saw the topic for this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge, I immediately thought of the impressive street art on the walls in Rio de Janeiro. I absolutely love the simplicity of the figures and the way they capture the essence of the beauty of Rio de Janeiro.
There were several of these paintings on walls throughout the city and each time I saw one, I couldn’t help but smile. I hope you enjoy them too. Make sure to click on the above link to take a look at the very creative submissions from others participating in this challenge!
Topics such as this have taught me to keep an open eye and capture and absorb as much as possible , you never know what challenge is gonna be thrown every week. There is some lovely ethnic art on the compound wall of a college but just didn’t have the time to go and click pics and it never struck me earlier to do so too.
Yes, you never know what the topic might be! 🙂 I’ve been told by my family that I take WAY too many pictures, but if something strikes my fancy, I get a photo of it! I use my photos as my screen saver, so I get to relive fun times and recall fun places during the (sometimes) drudgery of the workday! 😉
Ha ha Beth , the moment I take my phone-camera , my husband asks , oh you are going to write about the road or the tree now ? But I enjoy it !
Thank you Beth for liking my posts , very encouraging 😊
You are very welcome! Your posts are very informative and well thought out! I love the term “Happyist!” Very clever and creative and a wonderful way to be!!
Some quote!! From now I’ll forever wonder about my attempts! (I know a bit of red Bacchus juice helps!!) 😉
You are definitely right about the juice….that can help with so many things! 😉 I think the fact that the photos reflect something of the photographer is what fascinates me with the photo challenges. Every person sees an image from a unique perspective and that makes it so much fun to explore all the entries! 🙂
Mmmm… I’ll have to watch out! 😉
