A “BOO-tiful” Day!

But I love Halloween and I love that feeling: the cold air, the spooky dangers lurking around the corner.

Evan Peters

We spent part of the day hollowing out our pumpkins and carving jack-o-lanterns. πŸŽƒ The girls did a fabulous job and I managed to carve one with the help of a template. Now our house is a bit more festive! Happy Halloween!πŸ‘» πŸŽƒ πŸ‘»

I love that in celebrating Halloween, we can get lost in the magic of make-believe and fantasy no matter what age we are!

Great job on the pumpkins Beth. Since our kids are long grown, we do not spend much time on Hallowe’en, any more. We are always amazed at how commercial it has become, though. Happy Sunday. Allan

Happy Sunday to you too, Allan! I haven’t carved pumpkins for a few years, but want the girls to have the total American experience. I agree that it has really gotten to be commercialized and many people’s yards have more Halloween decorations than Christmas ones. I enjoy seeing their efforts, but am not willing to spend the time or money. Carving the pumpkins was fun, though!😁

Beautiful and love your blogg. Those pumpkins are a master of art.

Thank you so much Patricia! I was super impressed at how well the girls did for the first time ever carving a pumpkin πŸŽƒ Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment. 😊

Thank you! The girls did an amazing job. It was the first time I tried one of the patterns. It turned out great, but I am still a fan of the old fashioned triangle eyes and nose type. πŸ˜„ πŸŽƒ πŸ˜„

What a great job you all did! I bet the girls had fun with your carving tradition so that’s a great bonding memory to make with them! I hope all is well with you!! Are you dressing up for Halloween? I’m not…I’ll just be at the door if any kids come by to trick or treat!

    • Beth W. says:

Thank you Janie! πŸ’• All is well here! Hope it’s the same for you. No costumes for me, but I am excited for truck or treaters at the new house. I got little stuffed animals and other fun toys to hand out and am hoping that they are a hit with the kiddos like they were at the old house. 😊 πŸ‘» The poor kids will be shivering because our high temp Sunday will only be in the 40s, lows in the 20s Brrrrr! πŸ₯Ά

Oh my goodness, that is cold! But hopefully the yummy candy and enthusiasm will prevail and keep them all warm! All is well here too…glad the same for you! πŸ™‚
