This Saturday we stayed at my Dad’s cabin to enjoy some time with him before he heads back to AZ to beat the winter weather. One thing I got from my Dad is the desire to look after the birds and other critters. We had fun filling up his round bird feeder with unshelled peanuts and watching the blue jays figure out (in record time) how to pluck the peanuts from between the wires.

A bit later, I took some trail mix and scattered it in a few places so I could watch the cute chipmunks scurry about and find their treats. I managed to get a couple to sit still long enough for me to get a picture.

I’m with you Beth! I ADORE watching the wildlife and I would have been right next to you giggling in delight as each little creature came by the feast! Great photos!
Thanks so much, Janie! 😊 Aren’t little critters just awesome?!? I have a few squirrels at home that I absolutely love to watch hang from my bird feeders and dine at their little squirrel picnic table that holds an ear of corn. Thanks for checking in! Hope you have a fabulous day 😊
They are adorable and I just love all of my chipmunks and even the ground hogs because it’s not my property so their digging doesn’t really affect me. I have a new baby bunny now as well. Just love the wildlife! 🙂
Oh sweet! ❤️ Baby bunnies are the cutest. They do nibble on my flowers, but I’ll let them. Romeo isn’t as big a fan, but luckily they are much faster than he is. 🤣
That’s good for the bunnies that Romeo is a bit slower! 🙂 How sweet and you’re so kind Beth to share your delicious flowers! 💝
That little chipmunk is so cute! 🙂
It’s almost like they’re deliberately posing sometimes. 😅 They are truly adorable! 😍
I’m glad you got to get a photo! 🙂
Adorable!
I think so too. 😊 I love watching them.
Awe, they’re so cheeky. 😋
Excellent photography!
Thank you so much. 😊❤️😊
I went camping with a friend once and there were chipmunks running all over the place with their faces stuffed full of food. At nighttime I was so afraid they’d find a way into my tent and think I was food.
I think they usually hunker down in their nests at night with all the food they foraged during the day, so you were safe. 😄 They are the cutest little things and they sure manage to stuff their cheeks full. 😄
Awe, they are cute!
