bucolic stream
not as calm as it may seem
Yes, it was flowing pretty quickly when we were there. The color was amazing, though. I loved the contrast between the blues in the river and the blue of the sky.
What road does this photo follow? I’m always looking for a lonely roadtrip path to take in Oregon in lieu of Interstate 84.
We were riding with my aunt, so I’m not entirely sure what road we were on, but there was a fish hatchery right next to the spot where we stopped. I found a link to a site that tells about the hatchery and how to get there, so hopefully that will help!! 🙂 https://fivepinelodge.com/2012/10/25/metolius-river-hiking-trail-wizard-falls-fish-hatchery/
Does your aunt use GPS? That’s how I normally find those side roads?
She didn’t while we were along. I think she has been there so many times she knows just where to go. 😉 Her husband grew up in the area, so I’m sure he showed her all his favorite places many times 😉
It seems odd for me that GPS provides security when I know just where to go.
