The doodle above is one that I wrote in a little journal I use to jot down prayers, intentions, whatever I might be thinking about or longing for. Last Tuesday evening, I was reflecting on how fortunate I am.
I wrote most of the doodle above on that evening. On the evening of January 22nd, however, I added the Thank You to the message. That morning I received a call from Jenny from Fulfillment Services Marketing giving me one last chance to accept the GRAND PRIZE in the Swarovski Passport to Sparkle! Sweepstakes. An email had been sent out on the 13th of January. I reinstalled the data on my iPhone that same day and apparently lost the email somewhere in the reinstall process. Jenny was sweet enough to call to make sure I had the opportunity to accept. I’m pretty sure my angels were a part of that fortuitous call!
As the single grand prize winner, I will receive $1000 worth of Swarovski jewelry, a 5 day trip for 2 to Rio de Janeiro, $500/person spa services, a jeep tour of the rainforest and $1000 spending money!!!! WOW!! I am over the moon excited about it! I’ve never been to Brazil and am eager to visit!
I am most definitely a blessed and lucky person, but I truly believe that everyone who asks and is receptive to help from their angels can receive it. I started reading a book by Lorna Byrne last night, “Angels In My Hair – The True Story of a Modern-Day Irish Mystic”. It is a fascinating read. She has been seeing and talking to angels since she was a baby and shares some wonderful stories in her book. She stated several times in the book that our angels need only be asked and they will help us. Byrne says, “We need not wait until we are desperate and in great pain to ask for this assistance; we should be asking every day, or every month, or once a year: “I want my angels with me through everything I do.” This simple request will empower the angels to help us.” (pp.62-63)
Whether you believe in them or not, there are angels waiting to help you with any problem you are experiencing and to celebrate in the joyous occasions in your life. Just ask for their help and they’ll be there. Looking back on my life, there are many times where I know the intervention of angels helped my family and friends. One instance that comes immediately to mind occurred when I was very young and my youngest brother was a mere infant. Car seats were not the norm back then and I was riding with my siblings in the back of our station wagon. My youngest brother somehow managed to open the door while we were travelling down Fairmont Boulevard, a fairly busy street. My mom didn’t hear the door and continued driving and my brother nearly fell out, but I was able to grab him and keep him in the car. I alerted my mom who immediately stopped the car. I know there were angels watching over all of us that day. My mom has a guardian angel that has had to put in some overtime hours and has kept her safe through two heart attacks and an aortic bypass surgery. My family has some powerful angels on guard for us. That being said, sometimes we have to go through painful or difficult events because there is a lesson we need to learn and grow from. In these times, we can ask our angels to provide comfort or to help us to find a solution to a problem.
When our angels do come through for us and help us, as in any other situation, I think it’s only right and fair to tell them thank you! I’m sure the number of good deeds done by angels go largely unrecognized, so when we do find ourselves the beneficiary of a serendipitous circumstance it might be nice to give some credit and gratitude to our angels.
In good times and in bad, I am so incredibly thankful to my guardian angel and any other angels that are with me! They have kept me safe and provided me with many amazing opportunities and experiences. Thank you, my awesome angels!!
I truly believe they are around and if we ask, they will help… Amazing story & congrats on your prizes…
Thanks so much! I think the angels do so much more than they get credit for, and I think they are elated when people think to ask them for help, and probably more so when they are thanked for the help they give. Thanks for reading and for the nice comment. I hope you are showered with blessings this week! 🙂
I loved loved loved this post. Especially right now as I grieve my mother’s passing. She would talk of her angels helping her on a daily basis every day of my life. I know she now will be appointed as one of my personal angels. She promised me before she left that she would. Thank you for believing in angels and writing about them so tenderly. We are part of God’s family, and he will never leave us alone. I love to think of angels around me, especially as I feel sad right now…
Jennifer, I am so sorry about your mother. I’m sure she will be watching over and guiding you, wrapping her arms around you when the grief feels overwhelming. I hope that she and your angels can help you to get through the pain. Thank you so much for reading and for commenting. God Bless!
Thank you so much and keep sharing your blog!
I too believe in angels but, I think in quite the same way as Lorna.
Thank you for visiting and commenting! Lorna is definitely one of a kind and has a beautiful outlook. I thoroughly enjoyed her first book and look forward to reading her second one. Have a wonderful day!
Hi there, just wanted to say, I loved this post. It was helpful.
Keep on posting!
Thanks so much for reading it! 🙂 I’m very glad you enjoyed it.
I believe in angels. Hebrews 13:1-2 “Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not fort to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” One of my upcoming blog will be about a recent experience in Publix where I have no doubt she was an angel. Thanks for sharing.
I can’t wait to read it, Tangie! I absolutely believe that as well! ❤😇❤ Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment! 🙂
